How does it work?

Hailing from Germany, Snom is fast gaining ground in the SIP marketplace. Snom phones offer excellent interoperability with Asterisk Open Source PBX, Trixbox, PBXnSIP and other SIP based platforms.

The Snom 360 is Snom's executive-level, SIP based IP phone. For under $200, you get a large LCD display and programmable function keys (support for 12 line appearances, easily expandable by adding expansion consoles), dual onboard ethernet ports, PoE, full duplex speakerphone and a range of codec support.

Snom 360 Solution Overview

The Snom 360 offers additional sophisticated call control features, full call detail, configuration options and online help can be accessed via browser from the attached PC.

Customized ring tones can be downloaded without any hassle from the web server - including, of course, that catchy ring tone that you like so much. Incoming calls can be marked with special ring tones to indicate the destination of the call.

12 programmable keys can be used to customize the functionality according to your own specific needs. The LED behind the corresponding function keys can show you whether or not your colleagues are currently on a call. And of course your colleagues can see whether your line is free or not.

With SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) you are ensuring your own personal independence. Most vendors are tipping SIP to be the communication protocol of the future. SIP components can be combined into a complete system without the need to be tied to a single provider.
